Hotshot Hotspot Manager reaches for the stars

Two new 5 star hotels and two new Hotshot managed Wi-Fi networks.

The re-vamped Oyster Box hotel in Durban and the 15 On Orange hotel in Cape Town are 2 new much needed additions to the South African hotel offering. Both these hotels set high standards. The obvious choice for guest Internet was our new hotspot management software.

Free Internet offerings in large hotels have become a popular request. This brings unique challenges that need to be met. Without access control you might find yourself paying for the bandwidth usage for everyone surrounding your hotel. Hotshot manages to handle this by directly integrating with the hotel's Property Management System (PMS) and only allowing access to checked in guests. Walk-ins may purchase voucher cards for access.

Being the first hotels that are running our interface, it was quite amusing monitoring guest records and noticing a Mr Clint Eastwood checking in!
