digitalpro's ideal of becoming a HTML5 compliant web development company has presented me with the opportunity to widen my arsenal of design tools.
With the advent of HTML5 and CSS3 comes a gamut of issues being raised and with its implementation as the new web standard looming we, as a 'cutting edge' web development and design company, have stayed on top of the new technologies available.digitalpro’s greatest concern is with the cross-browser/ platform compatibility of the sites we build, as to give consistency and stability ...

In the last 2 months we have been researching HTML5, CSS3 and the feasibility of using the new technology when starting new projects. Our greatest concern was browser compatibility. Even the latest browsers do not support all of the HTML5 features and even the supported HTML elements differ. Check this link for a browser compatibility list: www.findmebyip.com/litmus/.
We’ve decided that in our implementation we don't just want to validate as HTML5 (validator.w3.org), ...

When I started with web development many years ago, Object Orientated Programming (OOP) had just becomes possible in PHP. We built our sites accordingly and thought that we were cutting edge.
Although OOP did a lot to cut down the number of lines of code in a web application, there was still a lot of redundant, repetitive work to be done to get basic add/edit/delete/view functionality in these objects. For every object, each of these functions had to be physically coded and depending on the object structure, this could be rather labour intensive.Programmers ...

On a rainy day back in June 2010 we received a newsletter from the SPCA asking for donations. We immediately noticed that the newsletter simply could not have the desired affect on potential donors.

We unanimously agreed to design, manage and facilitate all their email newsletter campaigns, in the name of charity.
Since then we have ...
